I already have 21 hours in! Pokemon music is some of my favorite ever, but this song was a challenge since the new music seems to favor the drums a lot. When you really dig in however, there is some absolutely stellar melodic lines and the arpeggios are NUTS. This was a particularly difficult one for me to be able to be able to play in the relatively short time I had to put it together. This week I had my four year anniversary with Adriana so we went on vacation and I blasted this out when I got back and then got super addicted to the game itself! Hope it's still up to quality! I was really let down at all of the negative stuff coming out about the game before it came out. It really sucked seeing how vicious some people were getting towards GameFreak. I saw so many people even using the positive hashtags to spread more hate. It's totally cool to have criticisms for games you are spending your money on, I think it's important to be skeptical of companies choices with things we love, but it really felt like all the negativity snowballed out of control. I actually found that it was hard to find many other people online who were looking past the very small critiques and politics of it all because they'd just get blasted for just being excited. It really felt like a lot of people got caught in the snowball who may have otherwise just enjoyed the games, but I think the online climate for games facilitates hate more than excitement now. I hope in the future we can move towards a balance online between being able to criticize the franchises we love while also leaving room for people to be excited about them with out spoiling that. Hope all of you who gave the game a chance are enjoying it! If you aren't enjoying it, or chose to save your money this time, please consider that engaging with people who are excited about something with negativity is just a lose-lose situation.
