I've been covering music from video games for a very very long time and I've played not only guitar from every Zelda game, but I've played guitar IN a Zelda game and for me, this theme has the most beautiful weaving of overworld melody's out of all of them. Followed closely by the overworlds of Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time, this one really captures the perfection of the original theme and takes it to the moon for me. I've been waiting a very long time to give this one it's own cover and now felt like the perfect time now that I'm enjoying the remake so much. I have been super pressed on time with Twitchcon being this weekend and being buried in so many projects, but I did my absolute best to give this one my all with the short time I had. I knew I'd want to sneak in Ballad of the Windfish, but there was another moment that I thought making a reference to OoT would be perfect. It just felt right for some reason! Plus the marrying together of both the original and new intros was something I really wanted to do. I'm surprised with all of those additions, the song still ended up being one of my shorter covers!
