How to Fix A Broken ODOMETER [stuck] but Speedometer works

Proton Iswara's (aeroback) dashboard, speedometer works but not the ODOMETER. For analogue dashboards, these normally work hand-in-hand or they don't altogether. Initial guess was that the gear was broken, luckily it was a wrong guess. Disassembling the unit showed that the gear was just not rotating together with the axle, and hence the ODOMETER wouldn't work. These meters cost hundreds of ringgit but they're not difficult to fix.
