Republicans in Arizona are calling for the resignation of state GOP chair Kelli Ward after the ballot audit that she voraciously pushed proved to be a complete sham. Some Party leaders are sick and tired of the election lies coming from people like Ward, and they are worried that the nonstop lying - and being publicly humiliated when proven wrong - could easily hand Democrats the next election. Farron Cousins explains what's happening. Republicans in Maricopa county following the results of the cyber ninjas ballot audit that showed that Biden actually won more votes than he was originally given credit for. Uh, they're now calling for the resignation of Kelly Ward, the chairwoman of the state Republican party for Arizona. They've had enough, they're sick of her pushing the big lie that there was this election fraud. They're not happy that she pushed this ballot audit. That proved to be a total sham for Republicans. And they believe that she has done irreparable damage to the Republican party there in the state of Arizona. Now here's what a couple of them settled social media. Uh, this is Maricopa county supervisor Clint Hickman. He said, quote, I think the time has come. She has now led us to a part where our former president has publicly, uh, lost the Arizona. Vote again to Joe Biden. That is horrible. And I will not stand for this type of leadership. Then you have a bill gates. No, not that bill gates. This is the bill gates who serves on the Maricopa county board of supervisors who said this on social media. This is, he gets intense. I stand with my colleague here calling for Kelly Ward's resignation. The Arizona GOP has done nothing but push lies about our electoral system. Ignore down-ballot races and lose federal and state elections under her leadership. We must choose a new direction rooted in truth and good politics. He continues. Elections are about addition, not subtraction. Our party has lost numbers and continues to alienate voters that should be in our tent. The party is also fundraised off of the audit without providing a dime to its expenses. That's called grifting enough is enough. I love that. That's called grifting. This guy, this Republican bill gates in Arizona is accusing his own party of being Grifters and he's not wrong. That's the most delicious part of all of this. He is not wrong. Republicans all over the country have been fundraising off of this Arizona ballot, audit Republicans all over the country, came down and witnessed the audit firsthand and then took those blueprints back to their states to do the same thing. And it's probably going to have the same results as the Arizona one did. But again, politically speaking, you know, not being partisan here, just looking at this as an outside observer, these Republicans make really good points. You continue to lose seats under Kelly Ward's leadership, even before she was pushing the big lie. Your state party is already in shambles. Even before the big lie. Before the audit, before the recounts, before the election, you were not doing well, you were going down the toilet and you're watching your once. Proud red state turn more of a shade of purple. That's leaning a little blue these days. I mean, really the only thing you got going for you is the fact that Kirsten Sinema your democratic seminar, a Senator Up in 2024 is universally hated by her own party at the moment, because she refuses to actually be a Democrat in Washington, DC. So that may be the only bright spot the Republicans have, but they understand that this is not sustainable for them. They cannot continue to be the party of lies. They cannot continue to be the party of crazy, but that is what they are. We've already seen polls showing that a majority of people in Arizona are not happy about this ballot audit. That was even before we got the results. I can't imagine what the new polls are going to show, but I can guarantee you, it's not going to be good news for Republicans. And that's why they want to change in leadership so that maybe they can right this ship before next year's midterms. But that is not going to be an easy feat.
