I travelled to Saudi Arabia for the first ever WOMENS ONLY G4 Taekwondo Event held over 3 days! Some of the worlds best female athletes are coming together in an exclusive competition that will be a first for the sport. We are making history. I am super excited to compete and looking forward to the competition. What an amazing experience so far.

@khaledhax5725منذ 3 سنوات Hey @Lauren, I hope you are doing good. First of all, welcome to Saudi Arabia. if you are still wondering. I will answer some of your questions. 1. people id="hidden1" class="buttons"> don't walk out a lot for two reasons the heat from the sun and most of the city does not provide a good system for sidewalks. But you are totally fine and safe to walk around if you want to but take the adventure to create your own path lol. Second of all, people in the kingdom like to go out during the night because it is a bit cooler. most people gather in designated areas. if you want to enjoy a walk there are spots for that, if you wanna enjoy crowded areas there plenty of them. So people here mostly go to designated areas instead doing it in a random place and btw it is not wrong to walk around anywhere but again since there is very little sidewalks to support a comfortable zone for that people tend to go for the designated ones instead. Finally, dress code is not that strict it is just a part of the culture which you may already know. People stare sometimes because the country did not have a lot of foreign visitors before But keep in mind They are not staring because you are doing something wrong or having your hair uncovered or any of that. They are simply staring because they are happy to see you in their country and am pretty sure if you give them the space they will share it with you. if you got any questions just shoot it. I wish you a happy stay in Saudi. ....وسعت 77

@lamya1513منذ 3 سنوات I loved this video! And to answer your questions:
The weather is pretty hot which is why u don’t see a lot of women just walking around. We heavilyyyyyy rely on our cars to go to places instead of walking (mainly cause of the heat) which also why. AND, since we heavily rely on cars, there aren’t that many sidewalks to use, lastly, due to the heat, almost everyone but especially women, go out when the sun sets (even to malls and stuff). And like we stay out till 2 am and stuff like it’s reslllyyy safe so u don’t have to worry about walking alone during the morning or even night. - a Saudi women :) ....وسعت

@Ali-pq1teمنذ 3 سنوات Women can definitely go out without Hijab or Abaya.
You won't see a lot of people in general walking during the afternoon, because it's id="hidden8" class="buttons"> the hottest time of the day and we don't like sun that much, so we try to avoid it during afternoon.

@priyeshkara9842منذ 3 سنوات so saudi arabia and the middle east in general is very traditional and male forwards , women are more in the house types and do the cooking etc. They got id="hidden12" class="buttons"> allowed to drive there like a few years ago but the first lady who did when it was illegal got arrested and i think may still be in jail. Saudi also is horrendous for human rights and slavery , same as dubai etc all their buildings are built on migrant labour where the workers passports are taken and rarely given back. Also women in many of thse countries i aslo think have to have a male escort with them at all times , Think saudi is still well known for public executions , hand cutting for thieves etc haha . Hope this isnt like a shock or scares ya ,i don mean to at all ! just addressinfg the thing of wondering why theres not many women about etc. ....وسعت 6
