It definitely helped to put on the New Input mode I learned. I've been having a blast doing these covers, not only because the music is great, but because I'm so happy that a game has become so popular based around the concept of arrow keys for a rhythm game which I spent countless hours playing as a kid. I was a fierce Flash Flash Revolution player and got in trouble countless times for playing it in the computer labs at school. This cover was risky to pull off for me because I was intimidated by the sheer amount of crazy rhythms I'd have to memorize to pull it off. For that I opted to go simpler on the arrangement and filming style and ended up putting much more time into the video editing and making sure the actual track was the perfect balance between style of the original and a straight up metal song. I even used some EQ matching VSTs to try and match the guitar tones a tiny bit toward the original voices!
