Van de Graaff | Tandem & Pelletron Particle Accelerators (Principle, Construction, Working)

Van de Graaff Generator is a widely popular Electrostatic Accelerator which can reach potential differences of up to Millions of voltages. As such, it can be used as an accelerator to accelerate charge particles to high energies so that they can be used for suitable nuclear experiments. The Principle of a Van de Graaff generator is that when a charged conductor is brought internally in contact with an external hollow conductor, then all the charges are transferred to the outer surface of the external hollow conductor. In this video, I discuss the Principle, construction and the working mechanism of such a van de graff generator.
