@patriciaroeder56174 years agoFirst and foremost I am a Christian. I try to live my life to only glorify God. I’m on a very tight budget and would like to learn how to invest wisely but from a Biblical perspective. Thank you for offering to go through this and for sharing your knowledge. ...

@abideinshalom4 years agoI also know nothing. I am a stay at home, homeschooling Mom and as of now we live beyond our means. Living paycheck to paycheck and have finally come to the point where we are barely above water. We are ready to revamp our entire financial mindset. And sacrifice where we need to in order to Thrive and not just Survive. ...

@katiebowers81804 years agoI am intrigued. I am terrible with money. I am a stay at home mom who struggles to not spend more than I can. I know nothing about investing. 1

@HeatherLucas8654 years agoThis is so interesting! I can’t wait to hear all your tips and insights! We don’t have any debt right now and are looking to buy some land and build a house and then we’ll have a mortgage but hoping to have it as low as we can. 😁 ...

@InHimAlone4 years agoWe are not yet to the investing step, beyond basic retirement contributions from my husband's job. This will be helpful for when we get there. We still have a bunch in student loan debt - biggest regret ever. We don't have a ton of discretionary income, so that has been a challenge. It is more of an income problem with a large family than a spending problem. We don't have other debt, other than house, and we are not frivolous spenders. We are just a large family on a small pastor's income. We get by month to month, but never get ahead. He has a part-time job as well, but I need a way to make more money from home while homeschooling, with seven kids. We are not cut-out for Youtube, haha :) ...2

@jamieridley85564 years agoMy husband and I just started making investments through a company essentially they do all of it for us. Does this talk about how to pick the investments yourself as well as what to look for before investing?
@
@livingthefruitfullife6544 years agoAs a perk through my husband‘s job, we are blessed to have an investment counselor who constructed “the Timothy plan“. They research each company being invested in to make sure they don’t support any worldly activities nor functions we don’t believe to be in line with our moral standards. We’re thinking that that’s what your recommended book maybe about? Is the book just about investments, not budgeting etc.? ...

@BrynHottman4 years agoI'm very interested in what the book says! I desire to live a more frugal lifestyle and stay out of debt but God has been showing me where I have been lacking in faith that He will provide for all of my needs. A lot of financial books, Christian or not, are practical but that's not what my husband and I struggle with. Does this book focus more on the spiritual aspect of how we handle our finances? ...

@cherylemaybury99674 years agoDo you believe in tithing.? I pay a tithe to my congregation and I know that it is divided up into parts for the world wide ministry work, a contribution for our circuit and also for the local congregational expenses. Other than my house I don’t have anything else to invest with. I am cautious with my money so I always have enough to pay my bills and some savings for the unexpected repairs around the house. I don’t have anything else to invest with but I am still interested in learning how to go about investing in a wise way. ...

@susanbaker81304 years agoWhat is the Biblical support for debt, if any, and what position does the book take on that, given the huge increase in MORE US debt from Covid-quarantine compensation? (Deficit plus trillions of unfunded liabilities)
@
@donnagarretson36214 years agoI was able to get credit cards in my 60's. The convenience of buy now pay later was great. That is until the bills started coming in. I am able to make my payments (Praise the Lord), but I realized when charging goods I was putting my money to usury (interest) as stated in the Word of God not to do. Opps!!! I always thought that putting your money to usury (interest) was trying to pile up interest to increase my money. Not so!!! Needless to say, I have canceled my credit cards and I will never ever use them again. I was shocked at how the interest (usury) piles up and I could end up paying $10000.00 for purchasing $5000.00 worth of goods. I am terribly embarrassed and extremely repentant for plunging headlong into buying with credit. ...
