Highlights of what happened globally in the sport of Sailing in the last 7 days. The British are coming, The British are coming... to Auckland which is in Stage 3 Lockdown. UK media report that INEOS Team UK have finish testing on the Solent and the team are on the way to New Zealand and so will their boats.Then there will be THREE!! Charlie and Mark fresh from the last Volvo Ocean Race where they pulled a Volvo 65 around the world are now on a refitted "Hugo Boss" IMOCA 60 Foiler and they have fallen in love with it. Not only will they save the oceans but they will do it at warp speed. The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club have an entry in the Youth America's Cup next year.Their foiling "test" boat arrived in Hong Kong while the team are in Italy testing on Lake Garda. The 16 and 13 Foot Skiffs from Sydney's Middle Harbour Skiff Club were out for the Sheerling Regatta. The harbour was winter sparkling and the action fierce. Jim Clark's fabuloud J Class Yacht Hanuman went into the Royal Huisman's "Huisfit" shed to have a complete "make-over".We're looking forward to seeing it when it's finished. Sir Russell Coutts CEO of SailGP announced a New Zealand team for 2021 and guess who are the front men?No prises, but Pete Burling and Blair Tuke can add SailGP to their year with the America's Cup and the Tokyo Olympics.A busy year. We preview the 2021 RORC Trans Atlantic Race fro Lanzarote to Grenada. It starts in January.
