Due to change in lifestyle and food habits, we are not getting enough Biotin in our diet. This could mean increased hair fall, premature baldness and brittle nails. Biotin plays an important role in the health of hair, skin and nails. But supplementation is not a choice for many people and we can’t take it in the long term. In this video, I am making a daily Collagen and Biotin rich shake, which improves skin, nail and hair health. You can see difference in 1 week after starting this. For this we need, 1. Sunflower seeds: These tiny seeds are a power pack of nutrients like Biotin, Zinc, Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids. This nutrient profile increases Collagen production and promotes healthy hair growth. 2. Pumpkin seeds: Pumpkin seeds are one of the super foods for Hair regrowth, beautiful Skin and nails. Pumpkin seeds are not only rich in Biotin, but they also have DHT blocking capability and are proved to reverse male pattern baldness and promote hair regrowth. 3. Almonds: Almonds are a near perfect food for your skin. They are packed with protein, minerals like copper & zinc and antioxidants that stimulate the natural synthesis of collagen. They contribute to hair growth and maintaining hair natural color. 4. Unsweetened Coconut milk: Coconut milk is one of the best Vegan alternatives for dairy milk. Coconut milk not only adds rich creamy taste to our milkshake but also it contains essential rare minerals like Selenium & magnesium which are vital for hair. 5. Raspberries: Raspberries are very delicious fruits that are super rich in Vitamin C. They help in building Collagen and keeps your skin glowing and bright. 6. Stevia – I have chosen Stevia which is most common low calorie sugar alternative to give our milkshake a nice sweet taste. Let’s see how to make it real quick. 1. In a small glass or Ceramic bowl, take 1 tablespoon of shelled Sunflower seeds. You can use roasted seeds or raw seeds for this. 2. Add 1 tablespoon of raw shelled pumpkin seeds. These are also called as Pumpkin Pepitas. If you can’t get raw ones, you can use roasted seeds too. 3. Add 7 almonds to this bowl. Now fill it with water and let all of them soak. You can soak them overnight or for at least 2 hours. 4. After soaking for a minimum of 2 hours the seeds would have become so soft. Now drain the water with the help of a strainer. Peel off almond skins. Now rinse all these seeds once with fresh water. 5. Now take a smoothie blender jar. 6. Carefully throw these soaked seeds and nuts into this. 7. To this add a 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries. You can also use frozen raspberries for this. You can make a variety of drinks by replacing Raspberries with other citrus fruits like Strawberries, Kiwis, Mangoes, Pineapples and guava 8. Now add around 1 cup of unsweetened Coconut milk. You can use Almond milk or Soy milk as alternatives. 9. At this time, you can throw in few ice cubes if you like it chilled. 10. Add a teaspoon of Stevia. This is optional. If you want you can also use Monkfruit powder, xylitol or other sugar free alternatives 11. Blend everything until you get nice naturally creamy delicious milk shake.
