Clashes between the army and Türkiye-backed armed factions in Kurdish-held northeast Syria killed 23 people on September 3. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that 18 of the dead were from pro-Turkish factions and five were from the regime’s forces. The violence also comes days after separate clashes in Kurdish-held parts of neighbouring Deir Ezzor province. Watch the video to find out more.
