#Pinoyflix #DocumentaryFilm #NewsEntertainment BUY-BUST OPERATION IN BARANGAY POBLACION ORIENTAL, CONSOLACION, CEBU At around 12:00 noon on March 10, 2021, joint operatives of PDEA Regional Office VII (PDEA RO VII) under the direct supervision of Director Levi S. Ortiz, Police Regional Office 7-Regional Intelligence Division (PRO7-RID), Cebu City Police Office-Intelligence Branch (CCPO-IB), and Consolacion Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion Oriental, Consolacion, Cebu that led to the arrest of the following suspect identified as: Lesbert Borres Baguio Seized from the suspect during the buy-bust operation were methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, weighing 511.2168 grams, with an estimated market value of Php3,476,274.24 concealed in a tea bag, one mobile phone, and the buy-bust money. A case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, was filed against the suspect on March 12, 2021. Few hours while Borres was detained at PDEA RO VII, a warrant of arrest was also served by Cebu Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit (CPPO-PIB) for the case filed on April 2020 for violation of Section 16 (Cultivation of Marijuana). The suspect evaded arrest during the marijuana eradication operation conducted in Barangay Cabasiangan, Balamban, Cebu on April 2020. The information emanated from the report of a Confidential Informant (CI) regarding the alleged activities of drug dealer identified as Lester Borres who distributes shabu in Barangay Tagbao, Cebu City and nearby areas. According to the CI, he has a close acquaintance history with the suspect, and contacted him lately to help dispose his stock of shabu to potential buyers, and he will be given a commission for every successful transaction. On that ground, and after evaluation of the information, PDEA Regional Office VII planned for the buy-bust operation set thru the CI with the assigned Agent poseur-buyer for a half kilogram shabu transaction. Upon arrival on the agreed time and place of transaction, at around 12:00 noon of March 10, 2021, a buy-bust operation was successfully conducted that led to the arrest of the suspect. Upon learning of the process of drug transactions made by the suspect, PDEA will continue to conduct investigation and extract information on the identity of his supplier, and the sources of shabu for the neutralization of their drug dealings.
