Here is Guardian, my first live action short film. Live action meaning CG elements are composited in a real world shot in which both coexist in unison seamlessly. This very short video serves as just warm up for future live action short films that I am planning on doing, aside from the mask videos and tutorials that I usually create. Video Symbolism: This short film symbolizes the journey and the transformation that I underwent as an artist within these past four years of living here in Los Angeles California, moving from Virginia. In the past, I always thought mask making was the career that I will take on as an individual, but slowly I realized that there are much more rewarding things out there that are worthy of taking on as a life time career. I slowly began to realize that mask making was just a personal hobby that I do in my own time at home. I didn't want it to grow into something that will make me lose control of the valuable relationship with the clay sculptures, masks, and videos that I created. Here in California, recently just graduating from the Art Institute of Los Angeles, I ended up transforming myself into a CG Artist with knowledge on Visual Effects. It wasn't an easy task translating your traditional art skills into digital form but now that I have successfully accomplished that, I feel like I can create anything now. Having knowledge on both traditional and digital art is probably one of the most liberating feelings I have ever felt in my entire life.
