Ingredients

(Note : 1 measuring cup = 200 ml)
Little Millet / ಸಾಮೆ ಸಿರಿಧಾನ್ಯ - 2 cups
Rice Water Ratio - 1 : 1¾
FOR PULIYOGARE MASALA POWDER:
Sesame - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
Cumin / Jeera - ½ tbsp
Urad dal - ½ tbsp
Chana dal - ½ tbsp
Mustard Seeds - ¼ tsp
Pepper - ½ tsp
Methi / Fenugreek - ¼ tsp
Dry coconut, sliced - ¼ cup
Dried red chilli - 20
Curry leaves - few
FOR PULIYOGARE GOJJU:
Tamarind - 50 gms
Oil - ¾ cup
Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
Hing / Asafoetida - less than ¼ tsp
Curry leaves - few
Turmeric - ½ tsp
Jaggery - 50 gms
Salt - 1¼ tsp
Above prepared Masala powder
FOR RICE TEMPERING
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
Groundnut - 2 tbsp
Chana dal - ½ tbsp
Urad dal - ½ tbsp
Curry leaves - few
FOR GARNISH (Optional)
Grated fresh coconut
Chopped fresh coriander
