Navy Football Head Coach Brian Newberry and captains Lirion Murtezi, Will Harbour, Jayden Umbarger and Jacob Busic answer questions for reporters gathered at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland in advance of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic vs. No. 13 Notre Dame. Navy Football offers a unique game day atmosphere and pageantry that dates back to 1879. The Midshipmen enter their 143rd season of competition. On December 19, Director of Athletics Chet Gladchuk introduced Newberry as the 40th head coach in program history. Newberry had served as defensive coordinator from 2019-2022. The Mids' first game is against Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland on August 26. The home opener is against Wagner on September 9.
