Sesame Street - Poverty X (1969)

From 1969, a cartoon demonstrating the letter X. Not many words start with X, but lots of them end with it. From the animation studio Poverty Pictures, this is the first of the segments they produced for the show. CLICK ON SHOW MORE FOR INFO AND LINKS! Many of the Poverty Pictures cartoons were designed by animator/cartoonist Cliff Roberts. He would go on to do the spin-off comic strip (1971-1975) and worked on "Sesame Street Magazine" in addition to creating many more cartoons for the show, including Jasper and Julius, Christopher Clumsy, "I've Got A Mind", and the "I Thought A Thought" series. The voice is, of course, Jim Thurman, who voiced many cartoons on the show (and appeared as the pilot in the Hawaii episodes).
