How do you get new villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? For the first time in an Animal Crossing game, the villager move-in process doesn't have to be random. You have a role to play in being able to pick who moves to your island! You can have a maximum of 10 villagers on your island and this doesn't include human players. Having the maximum number of villagers also helps to improve your island score.
