Part 2 of the custom gaming pc that won't boot Was it the CPU technology tech shorts

This is part 2 of working on the custom gaming PC that wouldn't boot! Turns out, the diagnostic LED was correct in it's diagnosis of the CPU being bad. And after removing the heatsink, there's no wonder why it failed. This thing was not making contact with the heatsink because the mounting nuts weren't screwed in flush with the board, leaving a small gap between the CPU and heatsink. This caused the paste to turn into this weird looking stuff and eventually fried the CPU. But with a new CPU and some silly hiccups on my part, it's all fixed and ready to go! The new CPU is an i7-7700, so the customer actually got a nice upgrade from the i7-6700K they were running before!
