The concept of what it does is easy to grasp the application part is difficult because of those varying terms that throw most people (me included). @rars0n4 years ago This is a great tutorial. I already understand the basics of how compressors work, but this does a good job of illustrating how and why you'd want to adjust it in different ways. I like the visual indication of that first compressor plugin and I'm always happy to learn about good, free plugins which are a great starting point for learning and experimenting before spending money on expensive plugins or hardware. I also always love to hear about quality paid plugins that are good at what they do!
