Victoria's ban on New Year's Eve kissing 'rather extreme'

Sky News contributor Michael Kroger says Victoria’s ban on New Year’s Eve kissing is rather extreme move considering that no one has the coronavirus in the state. The state government has issued guidance for people not to kiss anyone outside their immediate family, to prevent celebrations becoming a super spreading event. Victorians are also being advised to take hand sanitizer to parties on the night. “Under normal circumstances you’d think this was absurdity,” Mr Kroger told Sky News. “Here of course we’re still required to wear masks in shops and shopping centres. “It’s out of an abundance of caution, absurd and extreme but you can see why they’re doing it.”
