Approximate analysis of frames (5 of 7). Multistorey frame - multi-bay, multistorey

Step by step series of short videos on hand calculations for moment frames and Vierendeel girders. Each video covers one step in the approximate analysis method. The first video is a basic introduction and the final ones cover multistorey, multi-bay frames and Vierendeel girders with multiple point loads. Hopefully, useful for (i) preliminary modelling, analysis and design, (ii) getting a feel for the way a structure behaves and (iii) sense checking computer calcs. These are APPROXIMATE calculations which are hopefully enough to help structural engineers to understand the way that a framed structure behaves and the ways that loads are transferred from point of application to supports. ERROR! Please note that in the very last exercise, at Level 2 (9m above the ground), the beam moments should be 120 kNm and not 140 kNm. Apologies.
