Design documents: "Alex melancholy music" Chris Braymen adds, "Mark Seibert wrote the Cassima's theme / Girl in the Tower song, which was used thematically throughout the game. Mark did this initial work [referring to "Opening #1"] on KQ6 before I came on the project. It set a good tone and was used as-is, and quoted later in Alhazred's Theme and maybe also inspired the Nightingale music somewhat." * * * * * This soundtrack has been made in full conjunction with Chris Braymen and Mark Seibert. The music, having originally been arranged using the Roland Sound Canvas SC-55, has been recorded using an authentic SC-55. (Except for original "Black Widow", which has been recorded from the original MIDI using a real MT-32.) Due to the hardware limitations of the SC-55 causing polyphony problems, if necessary, each channel has been recorded independently and then merged into a single track. Therefore, no notation data is lost through polyphony limitations and the tracks may be heard at their fullest.
