And it is essential that he (the doer of the deed) evokes the intention which is the intention of sincerity in all acts of worship. So, he intends - for example- to perform Ablution, that he did it for Allah, and that he did it in compliance with Allah’s command.   So, these are three things:   1 - The intention of the act of worship.   2- The intention that it is for Allah’s sake.   3- The intention that he performed it out of obedience to Allah’s command.   This is the most complete thing regarding the intention.   Likewise, regarding the prayer: you intend to pray, and that it is the Dhuhur, Asr, Magrib, ‘Ishaa, or Fajr prayer and so on. And you intend that you are only performing the prayer for Allah - the Mighty and Sublime -, not for anyone else; you are not performing prayer to show-off, seek popularity, get complimented for your prayer, or to gain any sum of money or Dunia (worldly benefits). Thirdly, you evoke that you are praying in compliance with your Lord’s command, as He said:  “Establish the prayer” (Al-Baqara: 43),  “When you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer” (Al-Nissa: 103), “And establish the prayer and give Zakah” (Al-Baqara: 43), and other similar orders.
