This is my version of the very popular chapati which can be found in the East African countries: Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. It has Indian origins since we have a lot of settlers that came from that region of the world (among them, my paternal grandparents). However, the East African chapati is nothing like the Indian chapati, it’s actually an adaptation of the Indian parotha.
Watch as I break down the science of the chapati and what to do to create different types of chapati, depending on your liking. All this without the arduous task of kneading!
