This is offered to Lord Krishna and then take as Prasad , a Holy dessert taken with the Blessings of God. This contains lots of Dry fruits, Condensed milk, Clarified Butter mixed in Sugar Syrup. A very tasty and Delicious dessert. This can be eaten in fasting days too. You can add n number of dry fruits as par the taste. Enjoy mewa pag.... INGREDIENTS : - 2 Cup Sugar, - 150 Gms. Fox nuts / Lotus seeds, - 1 grated Coconut, - 100 Gms. Muskmelon Seeds, - ½ Cup Chopped almonds, - 250 Gms. Condensed Milk, already roasted till Golden. - ½ Cup Clarified Butter, RECIPE : - Heat a Wok on gas stove and put 2 Tbsp of Clarified Butter, once hot, add Muskmelon seeds, roast till turn Golden, transfer to a Plate. Keep stirring in Between. - Put Almonds in Wok and roast them too , transfer to a Plate. - Put Grated Coconut in Wok and Roast on medium Flames, transfer to a Plate, Keep stirring in Between. - put 2-3 Tbsp of Clarified Butter, once hot, add Fox nuts / Lotus Seeds , roast till turn Golden n crispy , transfer to a Plate. Keep stirring in Between. Keep aside for Cooling. Like wise we have roasted all the Dry Fruits. - Now to make Sugar syrup, Put 2 Cup of sugar in Wok add ½ cup of water. Boil sugar and water. After the first boil reduce the heat and boil the sugar syrup till it gets thickened and makes one string syrup. one string syrup means that you take a drop of syrup between your two fingers and then stretch the fingers - if the syrup that sticks between the two fingers is making one thread (or strings) then the thickness of syrup is appropriate. Takes about 7-8 minutes . Stir continuously. By now our Fox nuts get cooled, Grind them Coarsely in a Mixi Grinder, and transfer to a plate. - Grease a Plate with Clarified Butter. - Turn the Flames to Low, Add Condensed milk in the Sugar Syrup. Mix well till it melts and absorbed in sugar syrup fully. - Now add roasted coconut, almond, Muskmelon seeds, Foxnuts and any other dry fruits of your choice. mix well, cook till the mixture absorb the sugar syrup. Takes about 2 minutes on medium-low heat. Keep stirring in Between. Now tasty n Delicious Dry Fruits Mawa Paag is Ready. Now turn off the heat and set the mixture on the greased tray and tap nicely to set evenly. Let the mixture cool down, takes about 1-2 Hours. Once sets / Cooled cut the burfi in required shape and size. Delicious Dry Fruits Mawa dessert ( mewa Mawa paag ) is ready for bhog /serving . The paag (or burfi) can be stored in an airtight container for couple of weeks. Offer to the Lord Krishna, Have it with respect and get the Blessings of Lord Krishna.
