New Hampshire | Mt Monadnock Hike & Lake Monomonac Wild Swimming Summer vacation is for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. New England is the perfect spot to experience the charms of summertime. Every summer since childhood we have stayed for a week in New Hampshire. This year we will be staying in a cottage on Lake Monomonac. We wanted to take you along on our visit and show you how we like to spend summer vacation. We use summer vacation as an intentional time to focus on nature, and nourishing our bodies and minds. We reconnected with nature by hiking Mount Monadnock. We took the Old Halfway House Trail to White Arrow Trail Loop. This is a 4.5 mile loop that is rated as difficult on All Trails. On our trip we spent time swimming, kayaking and canoeing on Lake Monomonac and disconnecting from technology by living fully in the moment. We also spent time nourishing our bodies with healthy whole foods and we will be showing you how we make a refreshing and tasty black bean dip. Mix together and then add a couple tablespoons of red wine vinegar, the juice of a fresh lime, and a pinch or two of salt and pepper to taste. Stir and eat as a salad, or as dip with chips.
