It's one of the great unifiers of the world, music. Someone can, without knowing it's name, who created it, anyone who played in it, where it came from, or have to know a single note of it, know the song and feel something when they hear it.
This is one of those songs. It's just a beautiful piece and every bar is like a wave of emotion hitting you. I can't imagine what it must feel like to be anywhere near a live performance of it but I imagine it's pure bliss. ....وسعت 16

He played Burt Bacharach albums and other jazz and orchestrated stuff id="hidden16" class="buttons"> all the time on the High-Fi. Fast forward, I became a professional musician band director. I am a school administrator now, but still play semi-professionally. Burt Bacharach schooled me on all types of rhythm, style, and harmony. The Blue Devils take on this is sublime. Love the extended chords and mixed meter. If you don't look for it, it is beautiful. Wayne Downey of course captures all the best. ....وسعت 6

When I hear the opener and closer id="hidden17" class="buttons"> of the BD 2011 show, I immediately begin to reminisce and my mind travels back to the 1970s. My high school marching band included a lot of BD music in our half time shows during the mid and late 70s. I had some incredible experiences during those years and some of the best experiences of my life. I was captain of the low brass section and was fortunate enough to play a number of solos during our shows. My senior year, I was drum major which was the pinnacle of my music experience. My introduction to DCI at a young age and my experience with music when I was in high school changed my life and I know it made me a better person.thanks to DCI, the Blue Devils, my high school marching band and my high school band director who molded my small high school marching band into a "drum corps" with award winning performances. ....وسعت 2

An amazingly brilliant choice of material for this corps id="hidden22" class="buttons"> and this performance. I watch it often and weep every time at its awesome power and sheer beauty.
