Amazing mellow modern soul 45 side from Flyte Time – a tune that glides along beautifully with sweet guitar licks and this completely sublime moogy solo at the start! A precursor to the Time, Flyte Tyme was a competitive moretet that provided a vehicle for dozens of Twin Cities musicians throughout the ’70s and early ’80s. The two unreleased songs of this 45 featured here star bassist Terry Lewis, “Funkytown” vocalist Cynthia Johnson, drummer Garry “Jellybean” Johnson, and guitarist Tony Johnson (no relation).
