I used Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in pale grey: https://amzn.to/2lubtfW and Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn in plum which I couldn't find on Amazon, but this Rich Orchid would be my next choice: https://amzn.to/2n2P0qX
I found both of these at Michael's.
**Use any color 4 Medium yarn you wish and a 5mm / U.S. H/8 crochet hook
----------Here is the pattern for the body of these gloves:
Chain 25 (or longer if you prefer)
Row 1 hdc down the row, Ch 2, turn
Row 2 hdc in each st, Ch 2, turn
Row 3 hdc in the back loops only, Ch 2, turn
Row 4 hdc in both loops, Ch 2, turn
Continue alternating the loop patterns (rows 3 & 4) until you have the width you need for your glove. (I did 18 rows with this yarn)
----------To seam up the glove:
Fold the body in half with the pretty sides in (the pattern that will face outside when finished)
sl st 12 through both sides (or wherever you want your thumb to be)
sl st 5 only on one side to create a space for your thumb (I left 6 spaces for mine)
sl st through both sides to finish
Fasten off and weave in the tails.
---------Turn right side out. Voila!-----
