My Minimalist Morning Routine in 2020

Minimalism is usually a practice people use to cut down on the amount of things they have in life, but it has so many more benefits than just that! One of the most positive ways minimalism has affected me is in my morning routines, which I use to get me into the mindset for focusing and being productive every single day (it also saves me lots of money through cheap breakfasts!!!) In my opinion, the best morning routines are the ones that get you mentally prepared for the day ahead. And in my minimalist morning routine, I aim to do that as efficiently as possible! I try to take away any and all decisions in the morning, and turn my routine into a muscle-reflexes habit - one that requires almost no thinking at all. I make a bunch of my decisions the night before, allowing my mornings to be free of stress and decisions-making. One important aspect of my morning routine is the breakfast, which is undoubtedly part of a financial minimalist diet. My meal consists of a Trader Joe’s Apple and Cinnamon oatmeal packet plus a banana, all adding up to less than 50 cents per day. I love finding cheap and easy meals, and this breakfast is EASILY the cheapest/most value for money that I’ve found! Otherwise, my morning routines employ everything from to-do lists, reading, and task prioritizing.
