@loukasmallios5811منذ 4 سنوات Newer LCD displays are now much better than earlier. I have the Redmi Note 8 Pro and even it has LCD it has awesome colours. If I turn the brightness to minimum, the blacks are almost physical as AMOLED. 23

While taking photos ips lcd have similar colors to what we see to compare id="hidden5" class="buttons"> to oled. As oled looks yellowish and while using flash oled doesn't capture it nicely.
The phones are vivo v15 and vivo s1 pro.
Eventhough s1 pro have better camera.

@ikandersonمنذ 5 سنوات Some displays can't turn the pixels back on fast enough, so you get this weird smear of black when there is motion. Some apps allow you to disable "true" blacks and make the pixels very dark instead. 5

@homeleung578منذ 8 سنوات actually AMOLED is brighter than LCD. However, this depends on the screen itself. i.e. s7 has the brightest screen on any phone nowadays, but 6p's AMOLED is just so dim 1

Before i comment I want to say” we are blessed to even have a phone in life.” The only Amoled and Oled i can tolerate is in a affordable cheap budget smartphone not in a T.V.! I want to watch natural real T.V. not fake saturated colors! LCD looks so beautiful and naturally realistic!! The Amoled looks so dark, dead, and dull! I have a brand new Oppo R7 Plus, with an AMOLED screen,
and I noticed something that is strange id="hidden15" class="buttons"> and paradoxical!
Amoled screens are famous for their absolutely deep blacks, and this is the case with my amoled when streaming a video footage with deep black backgrounds from Youtube, for example. But :
When downloading the same footage and saving it on the phone storage, and then viewing it, the blacks are no longer blacks, they become dark grey or even grey sometimes!!
I wonder what is this strange behaviour of an amoled display!
It is not a defaulty device, but it seems that quality of Samsung's own units are way better than these which are made for other manufacturers!
Can you help me understanding this PARDOX?!

I'm watching a lot of movies in the phone.
I prefer vivid and clear display screen.
with nature color, sharp and clear.
What should I have to choose??

@anupsur13منذ 2 سنوات Well, I have used both the displays, apart from deep blacks on OLED, I don't see any major difference between an OLED & an IPS.

Better blacks = AMOLED
Both actually produce better images, both have pros and cons.
I honestly prefer IPS id="hidden17" class="buttons"> over OLED for image quality. OLEDs may use more battery charge compared to IPS if brightness is set to max (Puts your phone in danger of Burn-in). IPS has the same problem that's the called image retention.
If you don't want to end up with screen problems for both, at least turn off your phone screen when you're not using it. ....وسعت 2
