The Salute of the Sublime State of Persia was the official state anthem of the the Qâjâr Empire after the Constitutional Revolution which replaced the absolutist Mohammadali I with the parliamentary and constitutionally ruling Ahmad I
The anthem was written 1906 amid the Conquest of Tehran by Revolutionary Forces during the deposition of Emperor Mohammadali I and the subsequent establishment of the first Persian constitutional monarchy.
The anthem was first recognized as the "Marche Nationale Persane," in the West until it was officially published in Geneva as "Hymn of the Wellbeing of the Sublime State of Persia."
