Mushroom Hunting 2021 - Episode 1 - January Chanterelles. In this video, we are in the Coast Range, hunting for the last remaining Fall Chanterelles, Oysters, and Lactarius mushrooms. We spent the day finding loads of mushrooms, many of which were soggy and not fit for the table, but we managed to pick a few pounds of perfect mushrooms. These mushrooms grow throughout the PNW coast from October through November, are easy to identify and are amazingly delicious. With a mild winter, these mushrooms have continued to thrive well past the time they should have given up for the season. I show where to look, what to look for and how to pick these incredible mushrooms and make it back safely.
