Disney Cinderella 2015 Live Action Photoshoot Photography Project

I’ve been dreaming of recreating and photographing some of the iconic outfits from Disney's live action remake of Cinderella in 2015. I recently went for it and made Cinderella’s teal work dress and magical blue ball gown. I also made Kit’s green hunting outfit and his princely white suit. Here is my epic photoshoot project featuring Kelsie Bowman and Brady Riggs as Cinderella and Kit. In this video I’ll take you behind-the-scenes on my creative journey through making the outfits and our cinematic photoshoots— doing laundry, feeding mice, riding horses, ballroom dancing, trying on a glass slipper, and falling in love. We’ll conclude with the exciting reveal of all the portraits with Kelsie and her two beautiful sisters. I also scoured the internet to find other iconic props at reasonable prices. I share some DIY tips for creating the outfits that would be perfect for cosplay, a Halloween costume party, prom or other formal event. I want to thank the Goodman Family for allowing us to use their Chateau de Vie for several photoshoots. It is a beautiful and unique victorian-inspired mansion in Chandler, Arizona. I used my Canon EOS R camera and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM zoom lens. I also used a variation of three Canon Speedlite 600 EX’s and a modified Westcott Apollo softbox. I was very impressed with Disney’s portrayal of Cinderella as a kind and forgiving young woman and the theme of ‘Have Courage and Be Kind’.
