Chinese online encyclopedia Baidu deletes controversial claim over origins of kimchi

Following a backlash from many South Koreans, the portal site deleted the controversial remark which claimed that Kimchi originated from China. Professor Seo Kyung-duk... sent a letter of complaint and a global petition, calling for a formal apology, was made to raise awareness of the issue. The spat began in late November after China's Global Times reported that the international certification for Pao Cai was "an international standard for Kimchi".
