From my experience, Virtual Desktop works great for most id="hidden1" class="buttons"> media, browsing and gaming experiences if your Wifi is up to spec. I did notice that Half Life Alyx and Asguard's Wrath are so intense that I needed the link cable to have a lag-free experience. That said, I have a 5700XT GPU. Someone without a higher end GPU may have a smoother experience wirelessly in those heavy titles. ....وسعت 10

I live in a big id="hidden6" class="buttons"> house, we had to get google wifi relays to get everyone wifi, I don't want to mess up anyone else's connection. @deadli-usمنذ 3 سنوات I’ve run into issues trying to play a few games wirelessly with Virtual Desktop (Star Wars Squadrons, for example, but I believe I read a patch may have fixed it). However, for the games that it does work fine with, which is most of them, it works surprisingly well. @killer902101منذ 3 سنوات Just as an fyi, if the USB C port isn't on your graphics card the cable might not recognize as USB 3.0 which is ideal for Oculus link, you are better off using a USB c to USB A 3.0 cable. Found that out the hard way. 4

I currently develop standalone PC VR based apps using Unity with the HTC Vive.
These are not publicly commercialised they are specialised id="hidden24" class="buttons"> developments and demand high graphic performance (heavy scenes).
I am looking to start developing on the Oculus quest 2 and was hoping to take advantage of the PCVR tethered mode, using a link Cable to a VR ready PC.
MY QUESTION:
Can the Quest 2 truly take advantage of using the PC performance in order to get visual performance similar to the HTC Vive performance in this configuration?
I see plenty of information about using Steam based games (PCVR esque) BUT that is not really what I want to do. My builds are standalone, currently .exe PC based VR applications for learning/training.
I am just trying to determine the performance & limitations of the Quest for such relating to GPU/CPU use and how it would compare to the HTC Vive builds.
There does not seem to be a clear document that addresses these specifics from a developers point of view, but plenty info for the end user which even does not make it fully clear.
Ideally I would have smaller graphical scale APK's for Quest 2 in standalone mode. And the option to also use the Quest 2 tethered to my PC to gain the added performance IF that's how it works??

I use a wifi 6 d-link in one room and a wifi id="hidden26" class="buttons"> 6 card in the room where the PC is with hotspot switched on. @robperin5365منذ 3 سنوات I have both the link cable and vr desktop and streamer app.once you go wireless, it's hard to go back to link cable. Cable easier to setup, but so cumbersome and immersion breaking. my cable collects dust now
