00:00 - I. Allegro 03:51 - II. Largo 08:29 - III. (Allegro) _____ Bassoon: Sergio Azzolini Ensemble: L'Onda Armonica Year of Recording: 2015 _____ "The Concerto in C major, RV 469, is characterized by wide leaps. These are announced here in the opening ritornello, echoed in the bassoon's first solo entry. The second solo episode modulates from G major to A minor and uses a wide instrumental range, the third opens with quaver triplets turning to E minor, after which the opening motif in C major returns at the beginning of the fourth solo passage. Accompanied only by the continuo, the Largo is reminiscent of a two-part aria, each section of which is repeated. The finale's ritornello begins with a descending octave; the opening figure is taken up by the bassoon in his first solo episode, followed by solo passages marked throughout by wide leaps."
