@commycomentor969510 months ago 2 throttle bodies tested better in the focus groups… just like the digital screens and retro fox gauges.
    Simple as that.

@optimumperformance699810 months ago On flat plane crank engines you have equal cylinder bank firing i.e. Ferrari, individual intake plenums work, on a cross plane crank you need to have a cross over to utilize cross talk pressure waves due to the odd fire sequence. On the '24, 2 smaller TB's provide higher resolution while not limiting air flow. MAF's could be used to measure different levels of order reverse pulses for more precise tuning. ... 2

@ericwood849 months ago Thank you for the ZR1 cold air info! Have actually been debating taking the lid off for lower IATs, after hearing your case for smoother indirect air going in, totally made sense..

@musclecars9210 months ago What do you mean oil catch can is not emission compliant the last time I checked the oil separator doesn't let any fumes or oils into the atmosphere 1

@V8dadmartin10 months ago I thought I was alone with the CAI stuff on the C6. Idled like ass and the tune did help it a bit. But since it’s a drop in filter with no slit like the ZR1, it sucks in turbulent air from the engine bay. I’m looking at the vararam intake because it looks like it strictly sucks air from the outside ...

@OnlyRears10 months ago A lot of the older LS stuff had factory OTRs, and Australian made OTRs were always the best upgrade for the GTOs, G8s and SS sedans. But the common factor with all of them is they had a MAF screen. I always wondered why newer platforms never had an intake made with a screen that would promote good laminar airflow. ... 1

@mjcmustang10 months ago If the catch can is NOT vent to atmosphere, meaning it still attaches to the intake, it SHOULD be okay 1

@03c5z10 months ago Yall are missing the point with the factory racecar. Its a fully race prepped track car designed for a specific series. You cant judge a roadcourse car by hp numbers. 1

@deonh844710 months ago Interesting, you said the first mod is a CAI. What if the twin TB with MAF sensors and carbon filters flows enough or more air than any CAI could give you. Could they complying with regulations while at the same time giving us what we want. Idk just some thoughts ... 1

@robhunter24359 months ago Come on!! Everyone wants DORK HORSE!!!!

@camyota10 months ago Personally, if i absolutely had to have a new mustang and absolutely had to modify it id just swap a standalone ecu in it and deal with the bcm grimlins that'd come along with that. Basically, if a normal person wants an s650 they just need to be happy with it being stock for forever. ... 1

@Reath_kay10 months ago Two maf sensors, JLT better get a harbor freight flow bench for this one

@jojog83049 months ago Not necessarily a trap: Ford doing the setup makes sense for emissions, a lot of emission problems are during startup, tip-in and borderline (cruise). EPA doesn't care much about WOT cause you're not doing that all the time lkike the former 3.
In the old days, aka ODB-1, these were all look up tables (aka Idle Air) and why mods, like adding a E303 cam would screw up your idle when you tuned everything for WOT correctly. Once folks realize the look up tables (and TB estimated airflow+load) it became a snap to tune most combos. During CANbus ODB2 days, these were all closed loop, which worked to meet EPA, but more expensive (higher res sensors) and still not the best quality idle/tip in when modding. Looks like we're heading back to look up table days: much cheaper. Then again dual TBs is more $$ so head scratch. So if you mod the airflow expect rough idle/cruise.

@wroman78610 months ago What about when they put a whipple supercharger. They will go with a single throttle body ?

@kevinskonieczny770810 months ago Thought I heard that the 2024 GT is speed density. I could be wrong, but I do not see MAFS in photos.

@duuude53410 months ago Lexus LC 500 has twin intake, 2 maf sensors and been a nightmare to tune.

@5.0_marcus10 months ago It would make more sense and more power for ford to have made a factory "cobra jet" style manifold and a twin bore tb for the dark horse and to give exclusivity to the dark horse since it's a "special edition". It's like they did it simply for the talk and clout rather than power and performance which is fords major problem. ... 1

@Boosted3.7_AZ10 months ago AMEN!! I’ve been saying’ that too!! Also, naturally aspirated engines pulls air in via vacuum….. right? Hello, Ford! How is an extra intake going to get more air in there? 😂 Gary, with a silent “R”.

@billymania1110 months ago Yeah, the YouTube guys will be trying to crack the new Coyote engine. It's all about content anyways. I recommend that normal folks like us take it easy and let the tubers take all the risks.

  • @
@duuude53410 months ago You need an air straightener in the CAI. Probably have to have that custom made since most aftermarket parts are made by morons. You could try different style filter or filter material and see what happens

@robhunter24359 months ago Of course Ford just made it akward to do any mods to the 2024 Mustang. I will not be buying one, they are trash, expensive trash 1
