(0:23) Step 1: First, clean your glass with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
(0:30) Step 2: If you are using a design on paper, tape it behind the glass as a guide. If you have a stencil, tape it directly onto the glass.
(0:45) Step 3: Paint! Translucent paint will give the appearance of colored glass.
(0:56) Step 4: Opaque paint lays on top of the glass and has a painterly effect. Depending on the type of paint you choose, you may not even need a paintbrush. Bottled paints with applicator tips can be applied directly to your surface.
(0:59) Step 5: A sponge dipped in translucent paint yields maximum coverage area. TIP: Use painter's tape to create guides for your painting.
(1:18) Step 6: Glass markers are great for fine touches and that hand-drawn look.
TIP: Some products require a base and top coat, so read all product descriptions carefully.
(1:32) Step 7: When finished, place the glass in a completely cool oven. Set the temperature to 350 degrees and allow it to bake for 30 minutes. Turn off the oven without opening it, and let your creation cool in the oven before removing. Remember that sudden temperature changes can cause glass to crack or shatter.
