Chaffey Dam Open Day 2018

Tamworth region residents had a unique opportunity to see Chaffey Dam from a different angle and learn more about Chaffey Dam heritage at a community fun day on 21 April 2018. The Chaffey Dam open day was part of Tamworth Regional Heritage Festival and featured displays to illustrate the story of Chaffey Dam. There were guided bus tours to the dam crest and to view the Morning Glory spillway along with families and children educational activities on dam operations, uses of water, dam safety, etc. The day was a great success with plenty of community involvement and informed people.
