@marcusfranconium33923 years agoAs ex dutch Navy we often made the joke how the hell do we find the time to fight if are cooking and eating the whole day. But in ernest the dutch MREs are so large and full of high calorie foods to cope with the dutch weather and climate. Most if not all parts of the MRE are available in local drugstores / camping or even travel shops. My favorite was the Nasi goreng and Hutspot The first a leftover traditional dish of our colonial past and the second an old dutch traditional staple dish made since the 80 years war or revolt against spain. Made of patatos unions and Large carrots. ,mashed up in to one pot added with some gravy and piece of thick cut bacon . ...3

@dubc36154 years agoThis ration did not mess around at all! It was loaded with tons of great food. I really enjoy your review on this one. The dinner main made my mouth water. This would be amazing on a cold weather adventure. Again awesome review! ...11

@sunshinesideoflife77104 years agoDutch and French have best rations in my opinion. The flavors aren't bland like the US rations. I particularly love the choices, the attention to detail and they pump out the food on these babies. You certainly won't go hungry in the field. Great job.. Part deux!! ...4

@scottstenhouse35784 years agoA little sugar and some of the hot chocolate powder may have altered the porridge. But peanuts is different 😂 3

@carstenmichel89054 years agoNice Steve. The newest dutch ration. I personaly got me one of that Code 93 rations only some days ago. It was the only one on ebay Germany. My first opinion, they are bigger and better than the older rations. I have menu 5 Pasta Carbonara and Mashed potatoes with vegetables. Gonna watch it later ...1

@
@carstenmichel89054 years agoNow i got time to watch your review Steve. Nice review. Looks like there are some major differences to my dutch ration. I got the freeze dried version of it. The mains in my ration are all freeze dried and i have some other different items. I have a bag with italian seasoning. Don't have beef jerky. ...
@
@jdshillbilly12294 years agoMan that's a heck of a ration! The Dutch eat well in the field I guess lol. Thanks for the review.
@
@marilynscull45854 years agoAwesome review Steve. I was glad you tried the orange tea. I am sad it wasn’t great.
@
@thecman264 years agoLet's get this out on a tray, nice! Thanks to the GBS (grunt bartering system) you could swap something in there that you won't want for some good jam for the porridge. Especially since there's more than enough drinks! ...
@
@tracyphillips33254 years agoBreakfast was really good looking, and plenty of it. I was hoping you might drop at least a sliver of beef jerky in the bullion, for just a sample. Your combination with the porridge was really a good idea. Supper was probably the best. No shortage of food. Excellent job buddy 🤝 ...
@
@mwinton19862 years agoShould have put the peanut butter & chocolate spread in the porridge 😋
@
@MultiMagnum624 years agoHello Amigo! Good looking ration. Good food abounds. Let's whip this thing out !, LOL. All components and meals, look excellent. Each meal, has A stand out! Usually, the mains. Nice job, my friend. Save me A Rolly? Rollie? Freaky looking, however, always intrigued me? LOL. Peace from, Kentucky, John. ...
@
@markswishereatsstuff25004 years agoWow. It's like every meal gives you a choice. Not like some others where you consume everything in 24hrs.
@
@vasilyivchenko60043 years agoIs this a new ration? Because what I remember from the last Dutch ration it wasn't this up to date
@
@kathimorrical99124 years agoHave you tried a little of drink mix(raspberry)into porridge?
@
@jerrypropstjr87424 years agoThat is a huge ration and could be stretched out I'm sure longer than 24 hours ! I always enjoy your reviews and this one was fine except that I would prefer to see the whole ration ! I myself would rather watch a longer video instead of omitting items just to shorten the length of the upload !! I base my future purchases off what these reviews contain and really count on thorough and honest descriptions of the products ! Please dont get me wrong You do a great job and I appreciate it very much! Maybe what you said about doing it in 2 parts is a good idea ! Thank You for all your hard work putting these together for us all ! PS I would have put the Peanut butter and Chocolate and the Peanuts in the Parridge !! That would make a heck of a dessert ! Lots of options in this massive ration ! ...

@ricklane85544 years agoNice you liked the Dutch MRE... admit, Holland is half English already right? :) Although I never learned about " Traversing " Is it traveling food or what? Good show as usual my friend :)
@
@SueBHoney-cq8colast yearIs it possible to order this mre in 2023 ? 1
@
@samsworldofrations69964 years agoThe dutch don't hold back on the amount of food in their 24hr pack's, you would need to be working hard to utilise all those calories. I believe the Dutch arctic ones have even more calories. Great review Steve.
@
@johnwilliams71024 years agoMassive haul — only issue is what to eat and which meal ( nice problem ). I wonder how the broth would work in the porridge...adding peanuts dressed it up nicely.
@
@leah8904 years agoTea with tang. Think I will pass. Seems like some great components. Tuna looks good with the pepper and lime. Spinach and meatballs doesn't sound very good. Thanks for sharing
@
@rivermoon48254 years agoI would have put the chocolate spread in the porridge
@
@idanceforpennies2813 years agoWhy didn't you add the porridge and the muesli together? That's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.
@
@marilynscull45854 years agoThere is enough food and drinks for a week lol.
@
@arjenboeijenga1172 years agoFeed them well and they will fight well. (I thought napoleon said that)
@
@KaylynnStrain4 years agoCould easily get 4 neals out of this eation. I would have put the beef boullion in the porridge 1
@
@SmittyMRE4 years agoWhoa, did that chicken soup actually look that green? haha, almost looks like something marketed for ghostbusters.
