Coconut Milk Rice Recipe, South Indian Thengai Paal Sadam Recipe, Coconut Milk Pulao, Beginners #INGREDIENTS:
½ kg pulao rice
1 liter coconut milk
Salt depens on taste (2 tsp)
Sugar 2 tbsp
Cashew nut 12-15 piece
Bay leaves 3 piece
Cinnamon 3 piece
Cardamom 3 piece
Zinger paste 2 tbsp
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Chopped onion 1/4th cup
1/4th cup mint leaves
1/4th cup coriander leaves
3 tbsp clarified butter or ghee
1/4th cup oil
Some roasted onion
4-5 piece green chili

In a pan heat ghee and oil.
Add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom and cashew nuts. Fry all.
Then add chopped onion. Fry until light brown colour.
Now add zinger paste, salt and garlic paste. Saute all this spices for 4-5 minute. Add mint leaves and coriander leaves also.
Now pour coconut milk. Here I take half kg of rice, so liquid will be double amount of rice.
Add sugar with milk. Cover the pan and simmer this.
Now in boiling milk, add rice. Stir all. Cover the pan for 5 minutes in high flame.
5 minutes later, open the lid. Add green chili. Check salt. Then cover the pan with lid for 20 minutes in low flame.
20 minutes later, open the lid. stir all rice carefully. Check if rice is properly sodden. Garnish with roasted onion.
Then serve and enjoy this yummy South Indian “Thenga Paal Sadam”recipe.
