@travesham3 years ago Buzz actually being an astronaut suffering from delusions who's slowly convinced that he's actually a toy over the course of the movie is Toy Story canon in my mind. 6

@andymcguire2373 years ago Wait, so it's an origin story of the toy that was introduced in the mid-90s? And the technology from this era is vastly ahead of what we see in the Toy Story movies themselves? I'm so confused. 7

@baltimorefilmmaker3 years ago With the Rust set, I heard they didn't put them up in a motel or provide sleep arrangements so the crew is traveling an hour to and from set everyday. I think some were sleeping in their cars. It sounds a mess. 2

@Stablemable23 years ago Spencer comment about Lightyear is weird because its easy to figure out that its a popular animated character on a space action adventure......for kids and family by Pixar. The purpose is the same.
Its not that hard.
The trailer looks great and years ago after watching TS, I imagine Pixar doing would do an expanded universe with Woody and Buzz. ... 4

@SlipNJimmy3 years ago This is not based on a “real” astronaut from the Toy Story universe. It’s a movie within a movie. Lightyear is essentially the Toy Story universe’s equivalent of Star Wars. 1

@PlatinumPaladin3 years ago I'm still confused. So in the world of Toy Story, Buzz was equivalent to an Optimus Prime toy in our world? That figure had a cartoon similar to how Optimus had the original 80s cartoon, and Lightyear is the Michael Bay movies??? ...
