Some people think that you when you burn fat, it is converted into energy in workouts or it leaves the body in the form of sweat or urine or it is converted into muscles
The body stores fats in the form of very small cells and their average size are ranging from 0.6-0.9 microgram
There are billions of these cells inside the body and they are found when you are a child and their size or numbers increase.
Their numbers increase after childhood and the beginning of puberty or during pregnancy or in adults if they are over weight
Some people are having bigger number of these fat cells due to hereditary factors and women always have bigger number than men
These fat cells are like energy storage tanks. Their size increase or decrease based on the amount of food consumed or amount of energy expended
Which means when you lose weight, you actually don’t lose those fat cells
you deflate these cells from the amount of fat inside them
There is a study published in the BMJ in 2014 but before we discuss what’s in this study
We know that any excess of carbohydrates ingested or proteins are converted into a type of fat called Triglycerides
During workouts, the body uses these triglycerides and converts them into energy
Researches in the study found that fats that are burned are excreted from the body in two forms
The first one is Carbon dioxide and this happen through respiration
and the second one is water and this happen though urine and sweat
