@canadiankazzمنذ 4 سنوات When I was a kid, maybe around 9 or so, I was catching insects with my butterfly net near Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. I hit a large dragonfly and accidentally id="hidden2" class="buttons"> caught it on the edge of the metal frame of the net. This resulted in the poor dragonfly losing its head. I bent down to examine it, only for the headless dragonfly to stand up and start walking. Turns out that many insects can survive without their heads for a little while due to their unique nervous systems. I didn't know this at the time, and I thought it was some kind of zombie dragonfly. I screamed and ran probably the fastest I've ever run in my life. I had to go back later for the butterfly net. ....وسعت 71

@raellskys4083منذ 4 سنوات Sometimes you just LISTEN TO YOUR PETS LANGUAGE, because they DO speak to you, you just have to know your own pet well to know th right way to listen to id="hidden3" class="buttons"> them. I had horses when I lived in Arizona and sometimes they would stop DEAD, nostrils flaring refusing to move forward in th desert on trails we've been on plenty of times before. They would be willing to turn either direction but NOT THAT way and as I'm not stupid, having seen how one of them reacted towards a VISABLE snake, quickly decided that today th HORSE KNOWS BEST and we continued on our happy ride somewhere else. Ever heard of HORSE sense? I believe it originated from HORSES keeping their owners and SELFS out of trouble, everyone who knows horses and rides KNOWS riding a horse is team effort between horse and rider. Communication between horse and rider is VITAL for a safe pleasant ride for all. parties. Listen to your pets people, you will learn allot more about life's intricate parts. ....وسعت 66

@warmweeniesdoxiesweaters2884منذ 4 سنوات I was living alone in the woods (in a old dumpy travel trailer) at the edge of a National Forest (Huron) in Northern Michigan. One day I heard a child id="hidden4" class="buttons"> hollering "DAD" very loudly every few seconds, over and over again. My wilderness spot wasn't too far from a paved road and I figured it was a kid who got separated from his Dad while hiking. But it kept up for too long and I began to worry about a child lost in this wilderness so I went outside to maybe help. The hollering stopped. I walked to the two-track lumber "road" near me and stopped in the middle of it. I watched a tiny new fawn run lickety-split across the path and back into the woods. then a wolf or coyote running after it. then another large canine runs up, stops in it's tracks and turns to look at me. Waits maybe 3 seconds and then decides to follow it's companion to share in the light lunch about to happen. So, who was hollering DAD? ....وسعت 43

@haltocarrick5504منذ 4 سنوات I have a story, but it wasn't me who saw anything, but about the people I scared
I once went hunting with a mate, and we decided to wear some id="hidden5" class="buttons"> ghillie suits we had bought for airsoft
So everything is chill, we find a good position, and wait
By around PM, a group of hikers appear on the trail next to our position
We would simply wait for them to pass without noticing us, but that's when things go bad
All of sudden, a fucking wasp stings me in the butt, and I take off towards the trail. I had bad experiences with wasps and bees when I was a kid, so whenever I get stung by one, I get out of the place just in case more come towards me
So now the poor hikers are being chased by a screaming bush with a gun
You might be wondering how the wasp stung me through the ghillie
Well, it just happens that on the way to the position, I got entangled in a tree branch
When I pulled the ghillie from the bush, it tore apart, and now only my pants were protecting a 5cm hole in my bum
I still feel bad for the hikers
So if anyone tell you a story about being chased by a tree with a rifle on his hand, please, tell them I'm really sorry.

@rayopeongoمنذ 4 سنوات My dog would spook me like that occasionally. He was usually at the end of the leash, pulling me along, taking the lead, stopping occasionally to sniff id="hidden6" class="buttons"> whatever, a nice walk in the woods. But every once in a while he would stop dead, look around for a few seconds, sniff the wind, listen carefully, tail and ears up. Then "NOPE!" - his tail would droop, his ears went down, and he would turn around and head straight back to the truck. I almost never figured out what the problem was (once I saw coyote tracks in the same area later on), but I was looking over my shoulder on the entire walk back to the truck. ....وسعت 10

@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606منذ 3 سنوات No, see, the scary thign about tigers is that you most definitely would NOT hear the rustling.
A full size bengal tiger can completely sneak up on a human in woods where human feet make loud crunching noises on the leaves and sticks unavoidably, and yet a full-grown bengal tiger can still sneak up on someone silently. In a loud buggy jungle? If it were a tiger, you would NOT hear the rustling. .

@hanakinsidewalkerمنذ 4 سنوات I was riding my horse down a trail of never been on before she’s not the most well behaved.that’s an understatement she try’s to kill me but she’sden8" class="buttons"> very good at going forward and loves trails
When she stopped dead ears perked I asked her to move nothing she started to get uneasy and attempted to turn around
She’s hella Tall so I stood up and couldn’t see anything after I sat still a minute and all of a sudden felt something very wrong so I’d decided to trust her and let her turn around she imediatly took off in the direction of home
Later I found out there had been some phyco with a gun that’d been hiding in trees around that area
And that’s why despite her murder attempts on me I trust her so much

Just recently, like a few days ago, I went hiking with my family. It was around evening when we id="hidden9" class="buttons"> went and almost dark when we were done. So my and my brother were talking and walking through the semi dark woods when we hear these weird sounds. It sounded like animal noises, while also like some tribal language. Me and my brother freaked out and ran to my mom, who just said it was some owls or a dog or a cat but it was the freakiest thing I ever heard in the woods.

And another more recent time like past week we were driving through a rural area of florida that had a lot of private land and rotting slave houses to the side and I got a feeling of dread and that was it, no sightings just a bad feeling. Didn't help that I was listening to a podcast about skinwalker sightings

@pastelmaskمنذ 3 سنوات A couple of incidents. The first one happened quite a few years ago, my dad, brother, and I were all walking around near the site of an old mine-shaft, id="hidden11" class="buttons"> long-since covered up with a memorial near it, in remembrance of the deaths of immigrants who worked in the mines. I was first to enter the forest, and being a kid I wasn't really paying attention to anything in front of me, instead facing behind me while walking so my dad could hear me talk better. I turn around, and not 2 feet in front of me was a complete, fully decomposed deer skeleton. Needless to say, I screamed like a banshee because I had never seen a full skeleton of ANYTHING like that before. My dad thought it was hilarious tho'.
The second incident happened very recently, and still freaks me out. This happened a couple of weeks ago while we were taking a drive up to an area that was very much unpopulated. Save for the scattered car and logging truck, next to no traffic or people, and heavily wooded. Now, I probably have an overactive imagination (forensic files and paranoia/anxiety do NOT go well together), and so I'm often subconsciously looking for anything suspicious, no matter where I am. Out of nowhere, I see what I'm 99.9% sure are a pile of human bones, so I told my dad to stop the car so I could get out and look, fearing that someone may have dumped a body here some time ago to conceal a crime. My dad stops the car, I quickly exit from my side, and briskly walk over to where I saw the bones. When I got there, however, there was nothing but a few pieces of garbage scattered in other parts of the area, but nothing where the bones should've been. We stayed there for a good 2-3 minutes, because I was adamant that I had seen human bones, but found nothing.
I don't really know what to make of it.

It was just a small 1 id="hidden12" class="buttons"> person tent so the outside was very close to me. I looked up to see this bulking mass looming over my tent and suddenly the side of my tent pushed in against me. I was so petrified because I wasn't used to being close to large animals. Turns out it was a freaking COW that was just wandering around the camping area. It began to lick the outside of my tent and I was just frozen because I've never been near a cow that close before XD Like if I try to escape will it charge at me!? So I was just frozen there as it licked the salt off my tent for 20 minutes. Meanwhile all the other people on my crew were laughing at the absurdity. SCARIEST way to wake up EVER! ....وسعت 4

@dbat480منذ 3 سنوات I'm a forest ranger in Utah and had a similar experience to the first moose one. I was walking down the forest road early one morning after checking id="hidden16" class="buttons"> some passes on cars, super early, still dark out and cloudy so even darker. Also winter, so lots of snow. I had a weak head lamp but was getting around just fine. I eventually saw a large figure about 30 feet away from me, at least 7 feet tall to the shoulders. So naturally I froze and then slowly started moving off the road. Then, the giant figure bolts towards me and that's when I notice it to be a massive bull moose. I had to jump off a small 10 foot cliff to one side of the road down luckily into powder inorder to avoid it. Also, lucky for me, the moose just kept running and didn't turn back on me. Definitely learned respect for those animals that day. ....وسعت 1

@Delicious_Jمنذ 4 سنوات This reminds me of something not scary, but unusual and interesting that happened to me and my mate a few years ago.
We were biking on one of the id="hidden19" class="buttons"> old canals that runs through the area (northern england), when we got to a wooded area of the grounds of the local hall (its owned by the council so we weren't trespassing or anything). We came to a wooden bridge that crossed the canal, and went up on it to have a rest.
Then I went back down the mound of earth at the side of the bridge for a piss, I looked up to the bridge to check if anyone could see me, and I saw something that I thought was a big dog off its lead. (It was distorted because of the old fashioned wooden fencing on the side of the bridge).
I yelled back up to my mate "what the fucks that on the bridge?"
He looks and says "Its a deer!"
I finished pissing, went back up onto the bridge, and theres was a buck there, right in the middle of the bridge staring at ME, and not my mate. I got nervous because I thought It was going to ram me or something. After two minutes of staring at me the bugger just walked back to the side of the bridge it had come from.
I know it's nothing to speak of for americans or canadians, but that was weird because for one, this isn't a secluded area, and deer rare in england anyway, let alone on a well used bridge. Turns out they kept deer on the premises, which I didn't know about despite walking through this area hundreds of times since I was a young child.
If anyone here knows about deer behaviour, could you suggest why it was staring directly at me? It didn't seem aggressive or even spooked, it just stood there in the middle of the bridge.

@t3hr00tb33rمنذ 3 سنوات Scouting camp-out. They tell you not to bring food ("smellables") into the tents because you might have visitors. Very important if you are in id="hidden27" class="buttons"> bear country. I was the smart & good kid: I did not have food in my backpack but I did have a poor choice in a tent buddy who can't follow directions. Because he thinks a cheeky little shit. Even after I asked him, he answered in the negative; he did not have any food or snacks. (Spoiler alert: turns out that was a lie.)
So here I am being woke up at 3AM with a black bear's head within arm's reach of me rummaging through my tent buddy's backpack, looking for his half-eaten bag of chips. Now I know I needed to stay still, calm, quiet and it will go away. But I'm not out of the woods yet. [Pun intended.] This can go one of three ways. #1.) he's also awake and is doing the same thing, #2.) he isn't awake and will sleep through it, or option #3.) the bear could wake him up, he does his little girl scream, which will startle said bear, and the beast mauls us both to death. Thank God it was option #1.
Needless to say I got a new tent buddy -- and him getting a serious ass-reaming for being a moron.

@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606منذ 3 سنوات There are certain spirits thay are grieving, or reclusive, or just want to be left alone, or dead and have sensitive resting places, and the strongest of them can affect reality. The birds and bugs can feel it before you can, and when you blunder in there unknowingly, the spirit is aware, and upset, setting the breeze heavily still, and hushing all the wildlife. And when you continued closer to that unseen barrier.
Spirits like that can mess you up A LOT. Be thankful it left you with your sanity.

i remember this odd situtation when told story about walking dog in the woods.. id="hidden40" class="buttons">
Anyway, i walked my familys' dog on the side road which was next to bigger road though there were tress etc. between and other side was field.
I walked Taiga (the dog) alone on that road and suddenly Taiga started to be really scared of something and didnt wanna go forward.. Taiga acted really weird. I have never seen her so scared and barking scaredly at something, likr never! There wasnt any reason too and wimphering.. i tried to see if there were something but couldnt see anything odd so i kept walking a bit. There were though weird red mailbox next to the road. But.. it wasnt there before and it didnt lead any house. There might have been a little rundown road but it was for maintance thing for lights.
Anyway.. i kept walking forward a bit but Taiga still was scared and barking at something while backing up. I started to felt uneasy too, not just Taiga's weird behaviour but something didnt feel right.. i decided to turn around and walk back home.. Taiga still was watching back there where we were and barking, she might growled too.. i never saw anything.
This was really weird to me cause Taiga have NEVER acted like that and she is usually happy going husky and mailbox was really weird, never have seen it before and i kinda felt like someome was watching. I dont remember it very well cause it was sum years ago but i havent seen Taiga act like that ever since..
It migght have been a bear or something that i couldnt seen. My mom had talked about bear walking around or moose there.. but good that Taiga was with me.. i wouldnt have probably realized.. but it was really scary to me amd Taiga.

@Dutch.Van_Der_Lindeمنذ 2 سنوات When I was 8 or 9 In cub scouts I was at a local camp and it was my first time camping with someone who was not my dad in my tent. I woke up late at night id="hidden41" class="buttons"> needing to pee and I unzipped my tent I got 8 feet from the tent and my vision went fuzzy and it became unimaginably dark I could not see the moon or stars I could not see the ground beneath me I tried to find my way back to the tent but I could not and after what felt like hours I started to make out the shapes of trees and my night vision was starting to return I found that I had in my attempt to find my tent stumbled into the woods the campsite was not visible anymore. Unable to find my tent I sat down and fell asleep I woke up in the middle of the camp site as the sun began to rise and found I had peed myself and my legs and but were bruised ....وسعت 1
