Housefull 2 released in cinemas on 5 April 2012 with a budget of ₹45 crore (US$6.3 million) and received mixed reviews from critics. Earning ₹186 crore (US$26 million) worldwide, the film became a major economic success and the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2012
