Dr. Hanadi Abdalla - Specialist Psychiatrist | O7 Therapy

Currently, I hold the position of the Co-Founder and Head of the Wellness Unit for Mental Health at Zewail City of Science and Technology. I started the program providing mental health assessment and management for the students, while also handling all cases of mental health emergencies for students, such as suicide. I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, in the year 2012. I then joined the Department of Psychiatry, where I obtained my Master’s degree in Psychiatry. I have also worked as a Specialist Psychiatrist in MOH Hospitals. During my years of training at Kasr ALainy Psychiatry and Addiction Hospital, I also worked in the field of Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatry. I find great interest in working with adolescents and young adults as this period represents a turning point in everyone’s life. I also find great interest in working with personality disorders and addiction, depression, and other psychiatric disorders. I practice the holistic approach in therapy that emphasizes treating the person as a whole, not as a disorder or a diagnosis. I believe that psychiatry aims to treat the human soul, past, and present hoping for a better future. Also, I believe that every soul deserves a chance; I practice the humanistic approach and use different techniques of psychotherapy together, with proper medication if needed.
