Experience Nepal Cuisine and Culture #ExperienceNepal Globalizing Nepal Heritage Cuisine #ENCC Nepal Tourism Board /////////////////////////////////// Thanks to Nepal Ireland Society (www.nepalireland.org) and NRNA Ireland for organizing the showcase of the food items from the Nepal Heritage Cook Book recently published by Nepal Tourism Board. The event was organized in Bhansa Ghar restaurant, Dublin, Ireland. This is the first food tasting event outside Nepal where all the food served were entirely based on the recipe of the Heritage Cook Book. Out of 28 heritage cuisine published in the book, 10 of them (MoMo, Usineko, Karesa Bari, Wo, Chukauni, Kukhurako Sekuwa, Dal, Bhat, Tarkari and Sikarni) were served. The food was very well received by the local Irish attendees who were delighted to have an opportunity to experience the immaculate taste. Owners of various Nepalese restaurants in Dublin were buoyed by the taste of the heritage food items. They assured they will definitely look into putting these food items in their restaurant menu. The preparation of the food was led by Mr. Balkrishna Shrestha, a senior sous chef at Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin, with help from the kitchen staff at Bhansa Ghar. The owner of the Bhansa Ghar restaurant Mr. Jivan Timalsina said that his restaurant will soon be serving food items from the heritage cook book to its customers . The Chief Co-ordinator of the Experience Nepal - Cuisine and Culture campaign and the President of Nepal Ireland Society Mr. Deepesh Man Shakya said similar events will be organized in other Nepalese restaurants in Ireland as well. http://experiencenepal.welcomenepal.com/
