Making Judy Garland’s Dorothy Dress from Wizard of Oz - Take Two - Part 1

After making the first Dorothy dress I received a commission to make another so I thought that I would document the making of the second version. The dress is made from vintage fabric and trim and is constucted using sewing techniques and finishes that would have been used on the original costume in 1939 designed by the MGM designer Gilbert Adrian. In this part I show the constuction of the pinafore dress.
