Hello Friends, Today I am going to share with you all a very special, tasty and healthy recipe for new mothers of Harira. Harira recipe for new mothers – Harira is also known as path. It is basically a nutritious dish which is given to new mothers after delivery. This Indian traditional recipe gives energy to women’s body. The recipe includes dry fruits and jaggery which provides energy, turmeric powder – helps to reduce the cramps, Cumin seeds- helps to increase the lactation in new mother and dried ginger powder – reduces the body pain. This recipe increase the stamina and gives more power to the women to fight from the pain of delivery. So, It is the best thing to serve with hot milk to a new mother at evening and morning for at-least a week. You can also enjoy this recipe in winters as this keeps the body warm. INGREDIENTS : - 250 Gms. Jaggery, Broken pieces. - ½ Grated Coconut, - 1 Cup Broken Foxnuts , - 1 Cup Clarified Butter , - ¼ Cup Chopped Almonds , - 2 TBSP of carom Seeds Powder , - 2 TBSP Dry Ginger Powder , - 2 TBSP of Charoli , - Handful of Raisins, - 2 TBSP of Cumin Powder , - 1 TBSP of Turmeric Powder , - 100 Gms. Soaked and Peeled Almonds , - Handful of Broken Cashew nuts , - Handful of Muskmelon seeds, RECIPE : - Put Soaked Almonds in a Mixi Jar, add a little water and blend to a fine paste, Please do not through the residual of Almonds paste , stick in Blender, mix a little water and use later. Transfer to a pot. - Heat clarified butter in a wok. Fry Fox nuts till they turn brown. Once fried transfer to a pot. - Shallow fry the Dry fruits i.e. Almonds, Cashew nuts , Charoli and Raisins , Keep stirring, - Also shallow fry Muskmelon seeds and Grated Coconuts. - Once roasted , transfer to a pot. - Heat the remaining Clarified butter in a Wok. Roast Almonds paste nicely. Keep stirring constantly. - Once roasted , add turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Carom seed powder and dry ginger powder and mix well and roast. - Add Jaggery . Keep stirring till Jaggery melts fully. Keep flames on medium. - Add Almonds based water and mix well. - Keep Stirring. - Once Jaggery melts fully and starts boiling, add roasted dry fruits mix well and cook for two minutes. A very tasty , delicious and nutritious Harira is ready . Transfer to a pot. Give to new mother daily twice with hot milk.
